Silver Sneakers®, Renew Active and Silver & Fit** are health and fitness programs that are included with many Medicare Plans for adults 65+. With these insurance memberships, you can enjoy full membership access to all of our YMCA locations. To sign up*, simply stop by member services at one of our YMCA locations and present your healthcare provider ID card and our staff will be happy to get you started.
Additionally, the Y has put together multiple programs that serve the needs of our older adults to help them live their best and healthiest lives.
With Renew Active, from UnitedHealthcare® it's easy to keep your fitness routine fresh and fun. You can visit any of our YMCA facilities or Virtual YMCA at no additional cost to you as part of your UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plan.
Silver Sneakers is a health and fitness program designed for adults 65+ that’s included with many Medicare Plans. If eligible seniors can have FREE access to the Rockland County YMCA through their health insurance plan. May apply to those younger with a Medicare Plan. If you have a Medicare Plan, you can check your SilverSneakers eligibility instantly here.
This is an access program through your health insurance and is not a YMCA membership. Silver Sneakers members are required to check in at the front desk with their access card every time they visit the YMCA.
The Silver & Fit program is designed for older adults! By exercising regularly and meeting new people, you can be Silver, Fit, and Fabulous® too! This wellness program is offered through your health insurance. To see if your health plan offers Silver & Fit please visit the Silver & Fit website or stop by your local YMCA front desk today! As a perk of this plan you'll have a FREE standard membership to the YMCA. This gives you access to most YMCA program- additional fees apply for swim lesson, special cycling class, etc.
